A talented sportswoman, Emma de Broughe juggled both hockey and cricket at the beginning of her career and has represented South Australia in both sports, as well as being selected in Australia’s Under 18 Futures and the Youth Olympics hockey squads. After great performances for Sturt that helped them to First Grade titles, de Broughe was awarded her first State cricket contract in 2019/20 and while she continued the juggle with hockey for a few years, she is now focusing on cricket with aspirations to represent Australia in a second sport. The opening batter had a standout 2022/23 season, hitting her maiden WNCL century and winning the Lauren Ebsary Award for best young player at the Scorpions.
