SACA BOARD OF DIRECTORS – NOMINATIONS CLOSED
In accordance with the Constitution of South Australian Cricket Association Limited (SACA), nominations are now closed for the upcoming vacant positions as Member Elected Director on the SACA Board (for a term commencing from the close of SACA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held at 6.00pm (ACST) on Thursday, 25 September 2025).
There will be three vacant positions for the purposes of the 2025 annual election of Member Elected Directors, created by the upcoming retirements of SACA Board members Jamie Briggs, Rebecca Hayes and Susan Smith in accordance with clause 11.7(a) of the SACA Constitution
All three retiring Member Elected Directors are eligible to re-nominate as Member Elected Director candidates.
Where more than three nominations have been received for the three vacant positions as a result of the nominations process, an election will be required in accordance with SACA’s Constitution.
In accordance with clause 11.3(b) of the SACA Constitution, the SACA Board has appointed Mr Tim Jones of CorpVote as Returning Officer in relation to the Board election. The Returning Officer has a number of explicit roles prescribed under the SACA Constitution. These roles include calling for nominations, certifying the number of votes received by each candidate and having the final decision as to the validity of votes, the right of any Member to vote, which votes shall be counted and the general conduct of the ballot and scrutiny.
Voting in relation to the Board election will open on Thursday, 4 September 2025. Members will receive an email on this date, providing details of how to vote. Details of how to vote will also be published on SACA’s website. The following categories of SACA Members are entitled to vote: Full Members, Country Members, Life Members, Honorary Life Members, Tenured Members, Honorary-Services Rendered Members, Premier Cricket Committee Members and Adult Reserved Seat Members.
