Bowler
Primarily known as a white-ball cricketer, Nathan McAndrew moved to South Australia ahead of the 2021/22 season in the hope of playing more red-ball cricket after getting limited opportunities in his native New South Wales. He quickly proved himself in the longer form of the game, making his Sheffield Shield debut in September 2021 and being a mainstay of the West End Redbacks attack since. The pace-bowling all-rounder took career-best figures against New South Wales in February 2023 with 6-97, before taking his 100th First-Class wicket whilst playing for Sussex in the UK county season in the 2023 winter. Along with his wicket-taking, McAndrew often also makes important contributions with the bat in both the Redbacks’ Shield and Marsh One Day Cup sides.
