SA Women’s Second XI 2026-27 Season Fixture

South Australian women’s cricket will continue to have a strong focus on developing emerging talent this season, with up to 10 Second XI matches planned for 2026-27. 

The expanded schedule, which includes both 50-over and T20 fixtures, provides valuable opportunities for SA Women, Academy and Premier Cricket players to gain further exposure to competitive game environments and increased player development opportunities across varying formats of the game.

The Second XI season will begin in September with back-to-back 50-over matches against Victoria at Karen Rolton Oval  on September 15 and 17. 

A 50-over tri-series featuring South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT will follow in November, with South Australia hosting the series at Karen Rolton Oval. South Australia will also take on Tasmania in a T20 match at home on November 6. 

The squad will then travel to Western Australia in November, with two 50-over matches to be played at the WACA on November 17 and 19. The two matches will be Day/Night matches, a first in the Second XI  Women's fixtures, which provides additional exposure to our players in preparation for WNCL and WBBL Day/Night matches.

The final leg of the Second XI season will see South Australia travel to Tasmania from Monday 15 - Friday 19 February for a series against the Tigers. Further details are to be confirmed. 

With up to 10 matches planned across the season, the Second XI program continues to provide an important bridge between  elite and pathway environments, giving developing players the opportunity to test themselves against quality opposition and build their experience.
