South Australia will launch its WNCL season under lights against rivals Victoria, after Cricket Australia announced the domestic schedule for 2026/27.
SA will open its campaign with a pair of day-night clashes against Victoria at Junction Oval on September 29 and October 1.
The side will then resume its season following WBBL|12, returning home to Karen Rolton Oval to host Western Australia on December 14 and 16.
South Australia will then travel to Tasmania to face the Tigers at Ninja Stadium on February 8 and 10, before returning to Karen Rolton Oval for day-night contests against the ACT on January 19 and 21.
The city fringe venue is currently undergoing a $10 million upgrade, with new lighting and enhanced spectator seating set to further elevate the match-day experience for players and fans alike.
South Australia will then hit the road for a pair of matches against New South Wales at Cricket Central on February 21 and 23.
The campaign will conclude with two day-night fixtures against reigning champions Queensland at Karen Rolton Oval on March 10 and 12.
The WNCL Final will be played on March 20, with the host venue yet to be confirmed.
Coach Mick Delaney said the squad was ready to take the next step this season.
“We made some really pleasing progress as a group last season and there’s a genuine sense of excitement around what we can achieve this year,” Delaney said.
“There’s a strong blend of experience and emerging talent across the squad, and the players have continued to grow together. We’re confident we’ve got the foundations in place to be highly competitive throughout the season.
“The commitment from the group over the off-season has been outstanding. The players have put in a tremendous amount of work both physically and skill-wise, and we’re looking forward to seeing that hard work come to life once the competition gets underway.”
