Hanno Jacobs set to return to South Australia on a three-year deal

Former State Pathway player Hanno Jacobs is set to return to South Australia as a new addition to the South Australia Men’s squad on a three-year deal.

Jacobs made his first-class debut for New South Wales in February 2025 against Queensland in the Sheffield Shield. He took 2-75, showcasing his potential and marking a promising start to his career at this level.

Jacobs demonstrated his all-round capabilities in the Prime Minister’s XI match against India in late 2024. He scored an impressive 61 runs off 60 balls, including two sixes and four fours, making him the second-highest run-scorer for the innings.

Over the past four seasons, Jacobs has been a key player for the ACT Comets in the Toyota Second XI competition. His consistent performances have made him a valuable asset to the team.

Jacobs has also played for the Western Suburbs District Cricket Club in the NSW Premier Cricket competition, represented NSW Country/ACT 2nd XI, and Australian National University Cricket Club in the ACT Premier Cricket competition.

Previously a member of the South Australia Under 19s program before moving to Canberra to further his studies, Jacobs said he is looking forward to returning to Adelaide, “It’s a great opportunity, and I feel genuinely privileged to be joining the South Australia Men, especially after their recent success. I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces, catch up with people I haven’t seen in a while, and contribute in any way I can to help build on their momentum.”
