SACA & Cricket Australia are pleased to advise that that the ‘Summer 2026/27’ is now available in PlayHQ.
After a successful earlier opening to registrations for the 2025/26 Summer season, Australian Cricket has opened registrations for the 2026/27 Summer season earlier than ever before. This applies to Senior Cricket, Junior Cricket and Woolworths Cricket Blast.
The new season is available for associations to commence competition set up, in turn enabling clubs to create registration forms for both competitions and Woolworths Cricket Blast programs.
Please note: Winter programs and competitions will not be impacted by the early opening.
There are a range of benefits for clubs to open registrations early, including the following.
- Improve player retention – allow players to re-register while they are engaged in cricket or after a positive finals or presentations experience.
- Improve word of mouth referral – allow current members to recommend your club to family and friends over the winter months.
- Distribute volunteer workload – earlier registrations allow volunteers to better prepare for the coming season and allow time for other priorities in the pre-season period.
