Code of Behaviour – Players
Players have a responsibility to uphold the integrity, reputation, safety and inclusivity of the game, including when training, competing or representing a Club or Association away from the field of play. This Code of Behaviour – Players should be read in conjunction with the Code of Behaviour – General.
Players are expected to:
- Play by the rules and not engage in cheating or deliberate rule breaches.
- Appropriately prepare for training and games.
- Be aware of, and adhere to, cricket-specific injury management and return-to play guidelines.
- Cooperate with their coach, player support personnel and teammates and promote and abide by agreed team values.
- Maintain positive relationships with Match Officials and respect their decisions.
- Use required safety equipment. Ensure that personal equipment meets safety standards and is appropriate to the level of competition.
- Never participate while impaired by or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Respect Club and Association equipment, facilities and resources.
