South Australia names Sheffield Shield squad to take on Victoria

South Australia has named its squad for the opening match of the 2025/26 Sheffield Shield season, their first since breaking a 29-year title drought with last year’s championship win.

Captain Nathan McSweeney returns from Australia A duties to lead a team eager to build on last season’s historic success. With a strong mix of seasoned performers and rising talent, South Australia will be looking to make an early statement against Victoria at home on Saturday, October 4. If selected, Harry Manenti and Hanno Jacobs will make their Sheffield Shield debut for South Australia.
