The Women’s National Cricket League season recommences this week after a two-month break, with the SA Scorpions travelling to Tasmania for a rematch of the 2022/23 Grand Final.
It will be the first time the Scorpions have returned to Blundstone Arena after a thrilling but heartbreaking final-over loss in the final in February.
The Scorpions did beat the Tasmania Tigers in a pre-season match for the first time in a number of years and will be hoping to replicate that in the regular season matches this week.
Fourteen Scorpions have travelled to Hobart for the matches on Tuesday and Thursday.
Squad of 14 for Round Three v Tasmania: Jemma Barsby (C), Bridget Patterson (VC), Sam Betts, Emma de Broughe, Josie Dooley, Paris Hall, Anesu Mushangwe, Courtney Neale, Maddie Penna, Kate Peterson, Megan Schutt, Courtney Webb, Amanda-Jade Wellington, Ella Wilson
Pace bowler Schutt is only available for the first game on the Tuesday, before returning to Adelaide ahead of her departure for Australia’s tour of India.
