Batter
Jake Carder is a left-handed top-order batsman who hails from WA Premier Cricket club Fremantle. After being the leading run-scorer in the 2014/15 Under 19 National Championships, he was selected for the Cricket Australia XI’s against the West Indies in December 2015 and Pakistan in December 2016. He earned his One Day Cup debut for the CA XI in 2016 and the following year he brought up his maiden List-A century against South Australia. In 2019, he made his Sheffield Shield debut for his native Western Australia and played a total of seven matches before being recruited by the West End Redbacks. He made his South Australian Shield debut in September 2021 against his former side, making his maiden First-Class century. He is now a regular at the top of the order for the Redbacks, including in the Marsh Cup where he made his state debut in 2023.
