South Australia finalises squad for 2026/27 season

South Australia has finalised its women’s squad for the upcoming 2026/27 season, boasting a strong mix of emerging talent and experienced leadership.

Led by seasoned all-rounder Jemma Barsby, the squad remains unchanged, reflecting the state’s confidence in a group that showed significant promise last season.

Head coach Mick Delaney’s side is targeting a push into the finals after finishing the previous campaign strongly, winning six of their final eight matches, building momentum heading into the new season.

The squad will also be bolstered by the availability of Australian representatives Tahlia McGrath, Darcie Brown and Megan Schutt, who will feature when not on international duty.

Head coach Mick Delaney said he was excited about the squad’s potential heading into the new season.

“As a group, we took some significant strides forward last year, and we’re eager to build on that momentum next season,” he said.

“Our squad has a great mix of experience, depth and balance, along with strong leaders and emerging talent, so we believe we have what it takes to push for the WNCL finals.

“The group is hungry for success, and we’re looking forward to putting in the work over the off-season and returning ready for a big campaign.”
