South Australian Country Men & Women Squads Announced

The SA Outbacks squads have been confirmed ahead of the 2026 Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships.

After finishing runner-up to Victoria in the Barossa last season, the South Australia Country Men will attempt to go one better when they travel to Busselston, Western Australia from 3 – 10 January 2026.

Tanunda Cricket Club’s Coby Cornish will again captain the side, featuring a balance of experience and young country talent. Seven players will make their debut for the SA Outbacks in the West.

The South Australia Country Women will return to the Barossa, South Australia from 3 – 9 January 2026. The young squad will be led by Stephanie Beazleigh who last season claimed the Belinda Clark Batting Award and Lyn Fullston Fielding Award along with Australian Country Cricket Team of the Year honours.

The Championships will mark the first time the Male and Female Divisions are held separately, ensuring access to the best regional facilities across Australia. This will be headlined by a T20 triple-header at Barossa Park, Lyndoch on Sunday 4 January, along with a marquee fixture between South Australia and reigning Champions Victoria at Adelaide Oval on Wednesday 7 January.

The SACA Representative Carnival – Under 16 Country Girls will also be held concurrently in the Barossa, highlighting the pathway and opportunities available to female cricketers from regional areas.

The 2026 Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships – Female Division has been made possible due to the ongoing support of The Barossa Council, the Barossa & Light Cricket Association and their affiliated clubs.
