Carey returns for Shield clash v Victoria

Australian wicket-keeper Alex Carey will represent South Australia for the first time this season in the West End Redbacks' Marsh Sheffield Shield clash against Victoria at Adelaide Oval this week.

Carey has just returned from Australia's World Cup winning tour of India and this will be his first red-ball outing since the Ashes.

The addition of Carey is one of a number of changes to the Redbacks' squad of 13 for the match against Victoria, including the return of fast bowler Wes Agar from injury.

The match at Adelaide Oval will feature a big crowd on day's two and three, with a Sheffield Shield excursion being held over two days.

Over 1,000 students from 28 schools will attend the Shield match, where they will watch the game, be involved in a health and PE clinic and meet Redbacks and SA Scorpions players.

Along with their fun activities, each student will receive an activity booklet, fresh fruit and discounts to the Adelaide Strikers' WBBL Final to be held at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, December 2.

Sheffield Shield School Excursion

The match against Victoria will begin at 10:30am on Tuesday, November 28.

Sheffield Shield matches at Adelaide Oval are free for SACA Members, with Members and Transferable Associate Cardholders able to scan their card for entry.

Entry is ticketed for the public. Tickets can be purchased on match day at the north ticket box or the south Concierge desk. Adults $10, children under 18 years are free. Entry is via the north and south gates only.
