Shield squad v New South Wales

The West End Redbacks will play their first game of the season at Adelaide Oval this week when they take on New South Wales in a Marsh Sheffield Shield match.

Starting on Sunday, October 15, each day of play at Adelaide Oval is set to begin at 10:30am.

Squad of 12 v New South Wales: Jake Lehmann (C), Nathan McSweeney (VC), Wes Agar, Jordan Buckingham, Harry Conway, Daniel Drew, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Henry Hunt, Ben Manenti, Nathan McAndrew, Harry Nielsen (WK), Kelvin Smith

Brendan Doggett has come out of the squad from the first match, after suffering a quad injury.

“Brendan pulled up sore at the end of the one-day game against Tasmania, so we will take a cautious approach this week,” Redbacks Senior Physiotherapist Sam Offord said.

“He’ll be re-assessed early next week to work out the timeframes for his return to cricket.”
