Young wicketkeeper Harry Nielsen hasn’t looked back after a stunning Sheffield Shield debut for South Australia in early 2018.
The son of former Redback and Australian Head Coach Tim, Nielsen scored a memorable century against Victoria in his first match in the Baggy Red.
A reliable gloveman, Nielsen continued to rack up runs last summer. He notched another ton against a Virat Kohli-led India in a tour match representing a Cricket Australia XI.
Nielsen also earned a List A debut for SA in the One-Day Cup and played eight Shield matches in a sign of his rising responsibility in the Redbacks’ ranks.
