Cameron Valente had another outstanding white ball campaign, delivering in a number of clutch death overs in the Redbacks’ run in to the JLT Cup final. Handed responsibility in the final over against Western Australia, Valente bowled superbly to clinch a thrilling five-run win and a spot in the finals series.
The young allrounder is renowned for his clever change-ups and batting ability, scoring his second one-day century in tough conditions at Allan Border Field early in the competition.
Valente featured in one first-class game last summer against Tasmania, bowling admirably with 1-41 from 16, and 2-40 off 23 including nine maidens.
