Alex Carey
Alex Carey is one of South Australia’s great success stories of recent seasons.
His meteoric rise culminated in the wicketkeeper-batsman being named vice-captain of the Australian World Cup and national T20I and ODI squads to now be firmly entrenched in the country’s limited overs setup.
Back home with the Redbacks, Carey compiled his second first-class century for South Australia last summer against New South Wales at the SCG with an unbeaten 110 against the Blues.
Reliable with the gloves, damaging with the bat and a respected leader on and off the pitch, Carey is a fine cricketer with his best years still ahead of him.
