Top of the table Sturt won the toss as they visited West Torrens, and they promptly asked the home side to bat first. Megan Schutt again dominated, taking one wicket and going for just 15 runs from 10 overs. Neeve Reimann and Bailey Vogt were also impressive, taking two wickets each as West Torrens fell to all out for 111. The visitors were untroubled in the chase, losing just two wickets as they chased the total down in 20.3 overs. Emma de Broughe and Josie Dooley came together to take the sting out of the pursuit, with some help from Schutt who top-scored with 29*.

Second-placed Kensington also claimed a victory in their clash, bowling Southern District out for 114 to claim victory by 20 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Kensington put 134 on the board, headlined by a brilliant 64 from Sarah Lowe. Hannah Perry took four wickets for Southern District, ably supported by Kelly Armstrong with three of her own. Southern District looked to have the chase under control thanks to 55 from Jessica O’Reilly, but wickets to Eliza Doddridge and Sanigdha Bansal edged Kensington to the tight triumph.

Northern Districts claimed the final victory of the day, successfully chasing down Glenelg’s total of 6/159 with 12 overs and six wickets to spare. Anesu Mushangwe fought hard with the bat for Glenelg, finishing unbeaten on 66, but she had too few partners as Northern Districts’ bowlers shared the wickets amongst themselves. Jemma Barsby and Samantha Betts starred in the run chase, scoring 54 and 42* respectively as their side claimed a vital victory with time to spare.

14 March will see the final regular season round of the Statewide Super Women’s First Grade, with Glenelg taking on Kensington, Southern District facing off against Sturt and Northern Districts doing battle with West Torrens.
