Tegan McPharlin proved the difference for the Jets on Sunday, finishing 149 not out in a comprehensive 114-run victory at Glenelg Oval.
Glenelg started positively with the ball, dismissing District's opener Stephanie Beazleigh for a duck, before McPharlin joined Cate Dunemann at the crease. The captain’s triple figure score helped the visitors to complete their innings 6/273, despite the best efforts of Anesu Mushangwe (3/28).
Glenelg skipper Mary Waldron put on a patient 70 from 127, however the home side struggled, losing 2/18 early. Fresh off of her stint with the ball, Mushangwe (60 from 100) managed an equal contribution with the bat.
The Seahorses batting order couldn't withstand Cate Dunemann however, with the Jet picking up 4/27 from her nine overs.
Kensington collected its second win from the opening four rounds, defeating Southern District at Bice Oval.
The Browns bowling unit shone, dismissing the Stingrays for just 66 with Shae Daly (4/9) and Ruby Smith (3/8) dominating with ball in hand, before successfully chasing down the total in just under 19 overs.
Next week Kensington face Glenelg, Sturt take on Southern District and West Torrens meet Northern Districts at home.
