Wellington’s 5/18 from seven overs helped to dismiss Kensington for just 118, despite Eliza Doddridge (31) and Sarah Lowe’s (27) best efforts.

Angela Treloar was gone early for a duck in reply, but Tahlia McGrath (27) and Wellington (76 not out from 46 balls) steadied with a a 52-run partnership.

Ellie Falconer (14 not out) came to the crease following McGrath's dismissal and Wellington accelerated, reaching the boundary 11 times and clearing it twice.

The Eagles reached the required total in the 19th over, just two wickets down.

Sturt bowlers Brooke Harris (6/14) and Alex Price (4/14) dismantled the Southern District batting lineup, taking six and four wickets respectively.

Only Stingrays captain Jess O’Reilly (14) was able to crack double figures with the bat, and the Sturt bowlers restricted Southern District to just 62 runs.

Annie O’Neil (25) led the chase and Rhianna Peate (11 not out) eventually guided the Blues home in the 16th over.

Kelly Armstrong’s was best with ball for the Stingrays, collecting 3/13.
