In the Stringrays’ afternoon match, 15-year-old Ella Wilson struck her first half-century at First Grade level from 55 balls, supported by Hannah Armstrong (25) and captain Jess O’Reilly (21).
Southerns made their way to 7/132 from 20 overs, with only Amelia Rault (28) and Dani Reid (19) making an impact in Sturt’s chase.
O’Reilly (2/14) and Narelle Maiolo (2/8) restricted the Blues to just 9/89.
The Stingrays’ morning clash against West Torrens saw the Eagles all out for 77, with Kelly Armstrong taking 3/19.
In reply, Hannah Sampson (31 not out) and O’Reilly (15 not out) guided the Stingrays home in 17 overs.
Northern Districts suffered two losses at the hands of Kensington and West Torrens.
The morning saw Browns’ captain Sarah Lowe lead with 33 runs and despite Sophie Roberts’ (3/16) best bowling efforts, Kensington reached 9/111 in their innings.
The Jets struggled in their chase, with Kensington’s Shania McKinnon collecting an incredible 3/4 from two overs.
Ellie Falconer (55 from 40 balls) and Paris Hall (30 not out) both played effective innings in the afternoon, with the Eagles compiling a competitive total of 3/144.
Roberts (22) and Neisha Iles (22) were best with bat in response, however the Jets fell 31 runs short of victory.
