Sturt have lost their first match for the season on Sunday at the hands of West Torrens. Ellie Falconer contributed for the Eagles with 47, accompanied by Lauren Ebsary with a quick-fire 39 (26 balls). Laura Niejalke (3/23) and captain Jess Joseph (4/19) led the charge for the bowlers.
A low-scoring match between Port Adelaide and Kensington resulted in the Browns chasing down the required total in under nine overs, with Kensington opener Bridget Patterson (30) compiling most of the runs needed for her side.
Northern Districts’ Brittany Perry (75) and captain Tegan McPharlin (44) top-scored for the day, with a 101-run thrashing of Southern District. Tabatha Saville (2/5) and Katie Rowe (2/8) were the pick of the bowlers.
Southern District and Port Adelaide are the only teams still yet to record a win after four rounds.
