The West End Redbacks fielded a largely inexperienced side against a formidable Bulls lineup, allowing John Dalton and Patrick Page Jnr (both 49) more responsibility at first and second drop.
Uncapped left-hander Page struck seven fours and a maximum in a timely glimpse of his talent, while Dalton crafted four boundaries against a near full strength Queensland attack.
Wes Agar also showed his wares with the bat, contributing 35 down the order.
