The 28-year-old has linked up with the Australians for a training camp in Brisbane, replacing injured paceman Jhye Richardson (shoulder) in the official 15-player squad.

The squad is currently competing against New Zealand in the second of three World Cup warm up matches at Allan Border Field.

Richardson, who was initially selected in the Australia A squad for five one-day matches in the UK next month, joins fellow Redbacks Alex Carey and Adam Zampa in the updated Australian World Cup squad.

Australia’s World Cup title defence begins from 1 June at Bristol County Ground.
