Mennie took 6/16 from nine overs on Saturday as Uni rolled Prospect for only 62 at its home ground. Uni then declared at 2/136 and had Prospect 2/65 in its second hit after Nick Winter took both wickets to add to the 2/14 he claimed earlier in the day.
Prospect’s top scorer in its first innings was Ross Richardson (34) and he was not out on 32 at stumps.
A 210-run seventh wicket stand between Matt Weaver (113) and Adam Somerfield (98) rescued Tree Gully from 6/109 and allowed it to finish with 334 against Port Adelaide. Alex Garlick took 5/90, including the wicket of Redbacks captain Travis Head who made 11 in his return to club cricket.

Southern District recovered from 6/93 to reach 8/237 against Sturt. Sunam Gautam (51) and Huw Stone (46 n.o.) led the revival and Daniel Clarke was the pick of the Sturt bowlers with 3/51.
