Adelaide had posted 4/191 from its 20 overs with Ben Pengelley smashing 104 from 58 deliveries but Sturt still took the points, reaching 4/195 with 10 balls to spare. Captain Brad Davis led the chase with 72 from 43 balls and Thomas Kelly (31) and Corey Kelly (48 from 20) kept the runs flowing.

Jake Lehmann’s 76 from 52 balls helped lift East Torrens to 5/175 against Tea Tree Gully, which replied with 8/157.

Glenelg powered to 4/179 on the back of Danny Irvine (55 no) and Liam Scott (44) and then held Northern Districts to 9/111, with Will Bowering taking 3/20.

Adelaide University’s Will Bosisto (65) batted through the innings to guide his team past West Torrens’ 6/131, with three balls left.

Kensington was unable to recover from a poor start chasing Port Adelaide’s 8/155. The Browns were 3/6 and then 6/40 before finishing their 20 overs at 9/130.

Southern District’s Ben Twohig took 3/12 from four overs to help restrict Prospect to 8/114, with the Stingrays then reaching their target five down with 25 balls to spare.

Friday’s night’s round of T20 Cup games was postponed because of the extreme heat and has now been scheduled for 14 January.
