Patterson polled 12 votes, equal with Australian captain Meg Lanning (Victoria) and breakout star Heather Graham (WA).
Tasmania wicketkeeper/batter Georgia Redmayne polled 15 votes, coming in first place.
Patterson’s season was highlighted by two centuries, including her maiden WNCL century of 109 against Western Australia.
The powerful opener notched her second century in a win over ACT (113) in the final round.
Finishing in fifth place overall for most runs from the six matches, Patterson experienced an outstanding WNCL campaign after a couple of leaner years with the bat.
Patterson also had a strong Statewide Super Premier Cricket season, the Kensington player polling 16 votes for the Karen Rolton Medal and finishing as joint runner-up alongside fellow Scorpion Sarah Lowe.
