Mr Roberts, who was previously CA’s Chief Operating Officer, was today named as the replacement for James Sutherland, who announced in June he was stepping down after 17 years as CEO.
“SACA has a great working relationship with Kevin and I personally look forward to working with him in his new role,” Mr Bradshaw said.
“Cricket is on the verge of a new and exciting growth period and Kevin is the right person to be leading cricket to be the number one sport for all Australians.”
Mr Roberts will start the new role effective from the Cricket Australia Annual General Meeting, on 25 October.
Mr Bradshaw said Mr Sutherland would leave Australian cricket in a strong position.
“Cricket has faced a number of big challenges in his 17 years as CEO but James has always shown great leadership and had a focus on doing what is best for the game. We thank him for his dedication and wish him all the best for the future.”
