Carey has retained the vice-captaincy for the limited-overs series. He’ll share leadership duties with co vice-captain Patrick Cummins while Aaron Finch will captain the squad.

Kane Richardson has been rewarded for a strong KFC Big Bash campaign with the Melbourne Renegades. The 27-year-old is currently the leading wicket-taker of BBL|08 with 22 wickets from 11 matches.

The right-arm paceman is in line for his first outing in the green and gold since Australia's limited-overs tour of England in mid-2018.

In-form leg-spinner Zampa has retained his place in Australia’s squad following the ODI series against India earlier this year.

Australia will compete in two T20I matches and five ODI matches against India beginning on 24 February.

A squad for the following series against Pakistan will be named in the later stages of the Indian tour.
