The opening two rounds were played on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, with Tea Tree Gully notching wins over Northern Districts and Adelaide University.
Connor Dudley’s 107 off 57 balls in Sturt’s round two win over West Torrens was the highest score of all the games.
Ben Pengelley also starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 75 off 54 balls in Adelaide’s victory against Southern District on Friday night, as well as blasting 63 off 47 balls in the loss to Woodville on Saturday. Tom Andrews proved to be the game-changer on Saturday for Woodville, taking 4/26 off his four overs and also dominating with the bat, scoring 57 off 38.
West Torrens won a thriller against Woodville on Friday night, chasing down Woodville's 144 with two balls to spare. Captain Daniel Drew made an unbeaten 64 off 45 while earlier Kamau Leverock was the best with the ball for West Torrens, removing Woodville's explosive top order and finishing with 4/22 off his four overs.
Kensington made easy work of Southern Districts total of 129 on Saturday, chasing it down in the 12th over with seven wickets remaining thanks to Paul Allegretto, who smashed 62 off 30 balls at the top of the order.
