The ground-breaking fund was established in 2016 by Cricket Australia in partnership with the Commonwealth Bank, and directly supports local cricket associations, cricket clubs and secondary schools across the country to develop and grow the female game.
With more than 52 girls’ teams joining more than 11 new girls’ competitions in South Australia in its first year, the initiative has gone from strength to strength with more than 106 teams taking to the field in the 2017-18 season.
There is $2,000 per team and $5,000 per league up for grabs to help run local female competitions.
