In the early hours of Sunday morning, Ferguson smashed 10 boundaries and two sixes on his way to his highest-ever T20 score of 102 not out against the Notts Outlaws.
His 55-ball century led his side to a thumping 72-run win to strengthen the Worcestershire Rapids’ spot at the top of the North Group table.
Ferguson, 33, has been in fine form for the county side after he shattered records in his one-day debut with 192 – his highest List A score.
The right-hander now has 231 runs from five T20 matches, and 608 runs in total from his 10 limited-overs matches in England.
His SA teammate Adam Zampa has also featured heavily in the Vitality Blast for Essex, with 11 scalps from his eight matches so far.
Travis Head also featured for Worcestershire but has since returned in preparation for the Australia A tour of India, while paceman Joe Mennie has been plying his trade for Lancashire.
