Devine, who re-signed with South Australia for the 2017-18 WNCL series and is also a key member of the Adelaide Strikers’ WBBL side, blasted 41 runs off only 17 balls at an incredible strike rate of 241 to steer the White Ferns to a seven-wicket victory at Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

The powerful right-hander claimed the Player of the Match award for the fourth time of the seven-game tour, which featured four T20Is and three ODIs, and was also named Player of the Series.

Devine finished as New Zealand’s top run-scorer of the tournament (325) ahead of fellow Striker and Kiwi teammate Suzie Bates (196). The 28-year-old was also the only player to score a century during the series.

It’s a perfect lead-in for Devine ahead of WBBL|03, where she has already established herself as one of the premier batters of the competition.

Devine raced to the fastest WBBL century in the League’s young history against the Hobart Hurricanes last December after scoring an unbeaten 103* from 48 balls and equalled fellow Scorpion and Sydney Sixers star Ashleigh Gardner with the most sixes (13) of the season.

The Adelaide Strikers begin their WBBL|03 campaign with two games against Hobart at Gliderol Stadium on 9 and 10 December.

The SA Scorpions return to WNCL action against Queensland on 25 November.
