The monthly award highlights the individual efforts of those who have worked with SACA toward cricket’s shared vision.

Monthly winners receive a signed WBBL shirt and will be invited to a volunteer recognition ceremony at Adelaide Oval at the end of the season.

December Volunteer of the Month: Heath Case from the Yahl Cricket Club, Mt Gambier & District Cricket Association and the South East Cricket Association

Heath Case has as played cricket for the Yahl Cricket Club for 34 years, and has been a committee member for 20 of those years.

Case has coached junior teams at Yahl for the past five seasons and is a hardworking, long-serving volunteer who has organised and participated in numerous club fundraising activities and working bees.

A playing member of inter-association cricket, Case also coordinates the under 12, under 14 and under 16 inter association competitions in Mt Gambier and is the Junior President of the Mt Gambier & District Cricket Association.

Committed to driving the new junior formats in his region, Case has also coordinated junior cricket trials, as well as being a long-time promotor and support of cricket as a sport for women and girls.

Country Cricket Coordinator Brendan Murphy said, “Heath thoroughly deserves this recognition for his service, contribution, commitment and passion to his beloved Yahl Cricket Club, Mount Gambier and Districts Cricket Association and the South East Cricket Association.”
