Kelly has been a reliable performer at Sturt and has previously represented South Australia at the Under 19 National Championships, alongside twin brother Thomas.

Opening batsman Scott has recently relocated from New South Wales, where he played for Sydney Cricket Club in the Premier Cricket competition.

Australia will play New Zealand in a four-game Youth ODI series to be contested at Peter Burge Oval, Redlands Cricket Club between July 6 and July 12.

Cricket Australia’s Pathways Manager Graham Manou believes the series represented an opportunity for Australia to fine-tune their skills ahead of the ICC Under 19 World Cup, to be held in South Africa in January.

“This series provides a wonderful opportunity for the players to test their skills against an international opponent. Our focus is to continue the development of each individual rather than on overall results," Manou said.

Australia finished runners-up to India at last year’s ICC Under 19 World Cup.
