The Southern Spiders finished in third place in their category of just three teams, showing grit and determination to come through the finals undefeated.

One of four SA teams to make it through to the grand final, the 21 & Under Women were the only side successful on the day, beating Queensland in a thrilling nail-biter, 95 - 94.

Earlier in the day, the Lord's Taverners grand final saw SA comprehensively defeated by Queensland 101 - 47, while the 21 & Under Men were also victims of dominant Queensland, falling just one run short, 107 -108.

Finally, the Open Women struggled in their chase, with Queensland setting a 106-run total, and then going on to restrict SA to just 55 runs.

The Junior National Cricket Indoor Championships commenced on Saturday, with SA fielding teams in the 17 & Under Girls’ and Boys’ divisions, the 15 & Under Boys division, the 14 & Under Girls division and two divisions of 13 & Under Boys.
