2020-21 SACA Membership

Match Day Ballot, Access and Seating

The current government restrictions require anyone attending Adelaide Oval to be assigned a randomly allocated reserve seat for contact tracing purposes. As such:

  • Members will be required to ballot for the Test Match (days 1 - 4). Members will be able to ballot for a group of up to eight, so you can be assured that you are still able to sit with family and friends who are also Members.
  • Adelaide Oval patrons must access Adelaide Oval via a randomly allocated electronic reserved seat ticket. To accommodate this, Members will be provided with an electronic Entry Ticket for the match days they are attending, rather than a physical Members Card.
  • Member access for Big Bash League matches will be communicated closer to the commencement of the BBL|10 season.

How to enter the SACA Member Test Match Ballot

The Test Match Ballot has now closed. Successful Members will be notified via email no later than 5pm Thursday 26 November.

How will the Test Match Ballot work?

The Test Match ballot will be a two step process:

This two-step process is to ensure that:

  1. You can let us know match days you'd like to attend and what other Members you'd like to attend with, pursuant to a ballot designed to ensure that Members can fairly access the Test.
  2. You can select your preferred seating area (on a 'first in first served' dressed basis) when redeeming your Member Entry Ticket, if you are successful in the ballot for a particular match day(s).

Step 1: Enter the Ballot (between 10am Wednesday 18 November to 10am Monday 23 November)
The SACA Member ballot registration process will be administered through Ticketek. You will need a Ticketek Account and your unique SACA Member code (Member Number and Surname with no gaps, for example 00012345SMITH) to register for the ballot. You can create or check to see if you have an existing Ticketek account here.

Balloting with others:
If you wish to attend the Test Match with other SACA Members, please enter the ballot as a group. You can enter up to eight unique SACA Member codes per match day in total. To enter the ballot as a group, please enter each unique SACA Member code in the Ticketek password field on a separate row. A unique SACA Member code can only be used once per match day in the ballot.

Mobility Impaired / Accessible Seating: Members requiring Mobility Impaired / Accessible seating will have the option to select this through the ballot process.

Step 2: Redeem your Ticket (between 12pm Friday 27 November and 3pm Monday 30 November)

Once the ballot has been drawn, you will be notified via email by no later than 5pm Thursday 26 November as to which match day(s) you have gained access to.

Then, between 12pm Friday 27 November and 3pm Monday 30 November you will be required to log into Ticketek and select your preferred seating area and download your ticket for the match day(s) you have gained access to. The ‘next best available’ seat(s) in that area will be allocated to you.

*Times are displayed in ACDT

Member Entry Tickets

Membership cards will not be used this season due to the health regulations which stipulates that every person who attends a day’s play must have an allocated seat. Instead, Members will be issued an electronic Member Entry Ticket for each match day they are attending.

Additional tickets for Members guests and complimentary tickets for Members children and grandchildren under 10 years of age will also be issued as electronic tickets when available, subject to capacity.

Electronic Member Entry Tickets are strictly non-transferable (penalties will apply if a Member’s Entry Ticket is used by another person and the Member will be held strictly responsible and accountable).

This information will be updated as the situation evolves.

Transferable Associate Cards

Our first priority is to protect your right as a SACA Member to attend cricket at Adelaide Oval.  With limited seating due to current government restrictions, SACA is unable to offer Transferable Associate Cards for use by non-members during the upcoming season.

We understand that being able to bring a guest to the cricket is an important part of being a SACA Member.   Recognising that SACA Members must be given priority access to the Members' Area, SACA Members may be permitted to purchase guest access to the Members Area only if venue capacity permits.  SACA will notify Members via email if this is possible closer to the commencement of each match, including the applicable process/pricing to apply.

This information will be updated as the situation evolves.

Members Children/ Grandchildren Under 10 Years of age

We understand that being able to bring a child to the cricket is an important part of being a SACA Member. However, to ensure that Member access is prioritised, Members rights to bring children or grandchildren under the age of 10 may be limited on certain match days. This will be determined by capacity, and we will try to allow this wherever possible.

This information will be updated as the situation evolves.
