An intimate member forum luncheon hosted by our SACA Chief Executive and President
SACA Members can register their interest in attending an intimate member forum luncheon hosted by The SACA Chief Executive and President. The lunches have been introduced as an opportunity for members to provide direct feedback to management. The lunches will be held on a quarterly basis and will be a great opportunity to have an informal chat about all things cricket.
Date: Thursday 23th August 2018
Venue: Presidents Room, Level 2, Western Grandstand, Adelaide Oval
Time: 12:30pm arrival for 12:45pm start, until 2:30pm
Cost: $35 per member
Inclusions: Two course luncheon and beverages

Applications for the Member Forum Luncheon must be submitted by 5pm Monday 13th August 2018
Successful applicants must pay for their booking between Tuesday 14th August and midday on Friday 17th August; otherwise any unpaid bookings at this time will be withdrawn and offered to applicants on the Member Luncheon waitlist.

Today I had the privilege of attending a luncheon with the SACA CE and President. This is a great initiative of the SACA to hear first hand feedback from members in an intimate luncheon setting and also for members to hear about the great work the Board, Management and staff are working on for the current summer of cricket and beyond. The gathering of members was a good cross section ranging from the more junior (< 5 years) to 40+ years being a member. It was also good having the General Manager Marketing and Communications present who was able to provide additional detail and clarity on some of the curlier questions asked by the Members.

It was a pleasure to attend lunch with other members and key personnel from SACA. Venue is obviously excellent. The relaxed format and opportunity to hear about current and future initiatives made it a very worthwhile event to attend. It was also an excellent opportunity to raise suggestions with SACA about broader cricket issues.

In chatting informally before and after the delicious luncheon, I was impressed with the friendliness and warmth of all three SACA Executives.
During the luncheon, each impressed with his openness and willingness to share a broad range of views on important cricket topics for SACA. All attendees acknowledged the challenges external factors, such as ICC scheduling, Cricket Australia scheduling and priorities and broadcast preferences place on SACA. I found all three executives to have a thorough understanding of mission critical issues and they each answered attendees’ questions succinctly and honestly.
They each took on board the various opinions attendees presented and they made each attendee feel important, encouraging each to talk.
