Bodyline Bar

Introducing the Bodyline Bar

Cricket at Adelaide Oval has a long and successful past dating back to the first major match between South Australia and England in March 1874. Since that time there have been many memorable matches played here with arguably the most famous being the Bodyline Test held between Australia and England on January 13-19, 1933.

To commemorate this seasons historic Test Series and its link to Adelaide Oval, a new bar was commissioned to rival any bar at any sporting venue in the world. Located in the north end on level one of Sir Edwin Smith Stand and featuring quality carpentry by South Australian tradespeople and rare memorabilia from the Bodyline Series, the bar is a stand out attraction for all who visit it this summer and beyond.

We are very proud of the bar and we are sure you will be impressed with what we think is a great place to watch cricket at arguably the best cricket ground in the world. We had a fantastic response from SACA Members lucky enough to experience the Bodyline Bar during the Second Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval. Members especially enjoyed panoramic views, the historic feel, the quality of the finishings, exceptional service and having their drinks served in glass rather than plastic.

Check this page as season 2018-19 approaches for information regarding access to the Bodyline Bar for Cricket content.
