The 2017-18 season will be experienced wicket-keeper Tegan McPharlin’s second year as captain of the SA Scorpions, following Lauren Ebsary’s retirement.
As an opening batter, McPharlin top-scored with 51 last season, while her quick glovework saw her take 10 dismissals behind the stumps, the second most of any state ‘keeper in the Women’s National Cricket League.
Born and bred in Balaklava, McPharlin’s dedication and love for cricket is undeniable, travelling several times a week to Adelaide Oval to train with the squad.
