Kelvin Smith played a pivotal role throughout 2016 and has earned selection in the JLT One-Day Cup squad for the first time since his first-class debut in 2013.
The left-handed batsman and capable off-spin bowler was able to lead Premier Cricket club West Torrens to their historic three-peat when he was not selected in the first-class side.
Smith's highlight of the season was a resilient knock of 58 in the innings victory against Tasmania at Adelaide Oval and made a century against the same Futures League team.
