The Scorpions have won two from four matches, with the final round this weekend determining the top two teams advancing to the WNCL final.
Head coach Andrea McCauley said that the final weekend against New South Wales and ACT will be a challenge, but one the side feel ready for.
"There's plenty of excitement around the group and we are looking forward to a challenging weekend but we are confident we can have two big wins and stay in the hunt for the final the following weekend," McCauley said.
McCauley expects some solid form from a few key players within the Scorpions group.
"Ash Gardner has come back into our group (following a title-winning campaign with the Sydney Sixers)...she's in red hot form.
"Bridget Patterson also had a good Strikers' competition, so I think she's keen to put a good performance on the board.”
News South Wales sit atop the ladder, seven points clear of the second-placed Western Fury, while the ACT sit one place below the Scorpions.
Currently sitting in fourth place on the ladder, the Scorpions require two wins from two games to reach the final, while also relying on other results.
