Chasing 217 for the win at Adelaide Oval no.2, Devine and Tahlia McGrath formed an incredible third-wicket partnership of 202 to help their successors bring up the required total in just the 36th over.
Earlier in the day, Tasmania captain Brooke Hepburn won the toss and elected to send her side in to bat first.
Devine took opener Laura Wright’s wicket in the fourth over, with Tasmania looking shaky early on at 1/11.
After losing a couple more wickets, Isobel Joyce and Veronica Pyke looked to be steadying the ship with a 34-run partnership, before both batters became Samantha Betts’ first two victims of the day.
It was Tasmania’s Erin Fazackerley who made the most significant contribution for her side, making 41 off just 35 balls, before Friday’s centurion Amanda Wellington struck and claimed her second scalp for the match.
Tasmania was dismissed for just 216 in the final over, setting the Scorpions an attainable run chase.
It was a bleak start for SA however, with openers Bridget Patterson and Tegan McPharlin losing their wickets within the first four overs, leaving their side nervous at 2/7.
Enter McGrath and Devine, both whom batted with style, making the run chase look easy.
Dropped in the field early on, Devine went on to make the most of her second chance, the huge hitter smashing 117 off just 85 balls.
McGrath’s slightly more patient 80 runs (110 balls) provided the perfect support for her big-hitting partner and together, the two brought the team within eight runs of the required total.
Wellington and Ashleigh Gardner saw the Scorpions through, with Gardner smashing a maximum to bring up the win.
