ICC Intern Coaching Experience

Learn more about advancing your coaching career through an international study trip to the ICC Academy in Dubai.

Program Overview

The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) in conjunction with the ICC Academy, are pleased to provide emerging coaches with a unique experience that will deliver hands-on development and mentoring from some of the world's best coaches.

The Intern Coach Program aims to develop an individual's coaching expertise through a residential period at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Successful candidates will travel to Dubai to be mentored by the ICC's coaching and coach development team and will perform hands-on coaching duties. The duration and dates of travel will be negotiated with the successful candidates, and depend on the alignment with the associated SACA High Performance team.

The SACA will cover the cost of return airfares to Dubai, while accommodation will be provided at no cost through the partnership with the ICC Academy; successful candidates are required to cover their own living costs.

At the completion of the program, successful candidates will be aligned to a SACA High Performance squad in line with their coaching progression, and undertake a 2-4 placement with that squad.

Successful candidates may be aligned to the following teams:

  • Breezair SA Scorpions
  • Emerging Redbacks
  • Premier League Teams
  • SACA Under 19 Male
  • SACA Under 18 Female
  • SACA Under 17 Male
