South Australian Metropolitan Cricket Association

SAMCA has been established to represent to:-

Represent and provide a voice for all metropolitan community cricket associations to the SACA Game Development Committee and other appropriate committees,

Assist with the development of the sport specific needs of the members of the association,

Provide strategic direction in its major role in catering for participation – players and volunteers,

Provide a pathway for all cricketers within metropolitan Adelaide, and ensure the structure caters for this.

The body is also responsible for coordinate the SAMCA Cups, which feature representative teams from the metropolitan associations in Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 21 and Senior age groups.

Gear Up Program

In season 2010-11, SACA is offering a cricket equipment funding scheme for schools and clubs. The “Gear Up” funding program provides schools and clubs with the opportunity to supply cricket kits for new teams and/or upgrade cricket kits for existing teams.
