The South Australian Cricket Association, umpire development office is committed to the continuing training and development of cricket umpires throughout South Australia.

SACA have a full time umpiring manager in a role to oversee and implement new recruitment & training programs in SA working closely will all affiliated associations.

At a grass roots cricket level SACA is responsible for the rollout of Cricket Australia's Level 1 umpire program to all interested coaches, parents, players and indeed potential umpires in community cricket associations including providing train the trainer sessions for the delivery of this program within your association.

At a Grade cricket and elite level competition SACA is responsible for the ongoing delivery of Cricket Australia umpire accreditation programs, umpire professional development programs and umpire High Performance program.

Each year SACA runs a pre-season training program aimed at preparing new and existing umpires for the season ahead. This pre-season program includes a weekend camp which is the highlight of the pre-season.
