Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield

Dating back to 1892, the Sheffield Shield is Australia’s premier domestic first class cricket competition, and continues a long tradition of domestic Australian test cricket. Adelaide Oval will host five Sheffield Shield tests over the 2010-11 season.

This season:

* Broadcast of the final from Thursday 17 March to Monday 21 March 2010 on FOX SPORTS

* The Victorian Bushrangers will open their title defence against Tasmanian Tigers at the MCG on Monday 25 October

The Redbacks' first Shield match is against New South Wales at Adelaide Oval, and will begin on Monday 11 October 2010.
