Women's National Cricket League (WNCL)
The WNCL has expanded this season with the addition of the ACT; with Tasmania to join next summer. The Scorpions will kick off their season against the new ACT Meteors in Canberra, playing two away matches at Manuka Oval. Adelaide will host six Scorpions home matches this season providing South Australian cricket fans the opportunity to watch some of the best female cricketers in the world and some of the most promising young talent in the game.
Women's Twenty20
This season will see the introduction of the inaugural Women's domestic Twenty20 competition. Its introduction and incorporation of the ACT and Tasmania highlights the continued growth of women's cricket in Australia. The competition promises to provide exciting, big-hitting action with the Scorpions playin three home matches including a double-header with the Redbacks Twenty20 match against Victoria in January.
