Training and Education
The SACA provides grade and community coaching, umpiring and development opportunities in South Australia. We understand that an integral asset to cricket's success are the many coaches and volunteers who give up their time during the week and weekends to coach, manage and umpire.
Coaches, team managers, parents and club volunteers are the catalysts for the recruitment and retention in our great game of cricket. The environment created by you can determine the success both long term and in the future for your team, club or association. Enrol now in any of the below Accredited courses. (Precourse requirements, full registration and fee required before attendance).

Mandatory coach accreditation
From November 1st 2010, all coaches must have some form of accreditation. The minimum level of accreditation is Level 0, Introduction to Cricket. See below for further information.
Additionally it is advised that all coaches undertake a National Police Check. Further information available here.
Accredited Courses
FREE ONLINE Course - Introduction to Cricket
(Prerequisite for attending the Level 1 Course)
Level 1 – 8 hour Practical Coaching course
- Base level coaching course for everyone and coaches assisting junior teams
- Includes level 1 umpiring accreditation
- $90 fee for course and materials
Level 2 Advanced Coaching Course – 28 hours of contact time
(Need to have been accredited as a Level 1 coach for 12 months minimum)
- For coaches coaching at club level, predominantly senior teams
- $200 for course and materials
Level 3 High Performance Course - by invitation only
- For coaches coaching at State and National level

Leadership / captaincy
SACA Training and Education Department can coordinate a captaincy seminar to suit your club/associations needs.
